			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Ha avuto il lieto fine l&#8217; oscura vicenda capitata la scorsa settimana a <a title="Chi è Robin Good" href="http://www.masternewmedia.org/about.htm">Robin Good</a>, editore indipendente proprietario di &#8220;Robin Good Online Publishing Network&#8221; e anima di &#8220;Master New Media&#8221;: un sito di successo con una media di 15.000 visitatori giornalieri, bannato di punto in bianco da Google. Facile immaginare che bel ferragosto&#8230;<br />
<span id="more-770"></span> Cosi Robin Good scriveva Giovedi scorso:</p>
<blockquote><p>(&#8230;) Per alcune imprecisate ragioni, a noi ancora incomprensibili, Google ha letteralmente penalizzato tutte le mie pagine web al punto tale che non riesco a trovare praticamente nessuno dei termini di ricerca per i quali avevo un ranking molto alto fino a pochi giorni fa. Non è solo un disastro dal punto di vista di un editore online, ma è una tripla tragedia in quanto i visitatori provengono per la stragrande maggioranza da Google, e non dai loro bookmark o per segnalazione di altre persone, e sono proprio quelli che arrivano da Google che rendono tutto il network MNM economicamente sostenibile.</p>
<p>Master New Media è basato totalmente sulla pubblicità contestuale come modello di business, in cui annunci testuali promuovono informazioni pubblicitarie per prodotti e servizi correlati al contenuto reale che appare in ognuno dei nostri articoli. Nel momento in cui elimini la gran parte dei visitatori che arrivano su MNM dai motori di ricerca, stai perdendo il più grosso potenziale della monetizzazione del tuo contenuto mediante la pubblicità. (&#8230;)</p></blockquote>
<p>E poi, a tempesta passata:</p>
<blockquote><p>Il problema è che mentre sono qui a ballare da ore in terrazzo, ebbro di gioia per aver riottenuto la mia solita visibilità agli occhi onniscienti di Google, so ben poco in merito all’origine di questa vicenda, e non posso nemmeno non temere che ciò riaccada ne tantomeno non provare preoccupazione sapendo come possa succedere anche ad altri.</p>
<p>E’ giusto che Google eserciti un potere tanto spropositato sulla mia capacità di &#8220;esistere&#8221; come entità su internet? Non è forse questo un episodio che dovrebbe farci riflettere, come detto da Fabio Masetti, sulla natura di Google e su come possa giocare a suo piacimento con le tematiche relative alla net neutrality, simili a quelle che temiamo dalle mastodontiche telco, avendo la possibilità di escludere i contenuti di chiunque senza fornire motivazioni plausibili e chiedendo di ammettere le mie colpe prima di essere anche solo ripreso in considerazione?</p>
<p>So che posso sembrare oltremodo paranoico, ed a molti fra voi non piace nemmeno pensare a questa possibilità, ma se lasciate da parte il lato emotivo e le vostre preferenze in ambito informatico, e approcciate il problema in maniera lucida e razionale, il fatto E’ che GOOGLE PUO’ penalizzare arbitrariamente siti web senza la necessità di fornire spiegazioni trasparenti sul perché dell’accaduto. Se notificasse apertamente ai siti web cosa c’è che non va, non avrei nulla da obiettare contro tali penalizzazioni, dato che i siti colpevoli avrebbero l’opportunità e il tempo di correggere laddove hanno sbagliato.</p></blockquote>
